2017-2018 New Student Registration

New student registration for Abbeville Elementary School is done in the counselor's office for the 2017-2018 School Term.

To register for school, your child must meet the following requirements and provide the documents listed below:

  • 1. must be five years old by September 2, 2017. (Kindergarten)
  • 2. state birth certificate. (Voluntary); Age verification document such as physician documents or other approved sources showing date of birth for age verification is acceptable.
  • 3. social security card. (Voluntary)
  • 4. must have a current Alabama immunization record. (Please bring the original.)
  • 5. must have two proofs of residency in the Abbeville school zone (utility bills such as power bill, water bill, cell phone bill, bank statement, tag receipt, tax papers, mortgage/deeds/lease/rental agreements, etc.)
  • 6. must have appropriate custody/guardianship papers, if applicable
  • 7.  Transfer packet from previous school (grades, attendance, etc).

All official documents must be presented by the parent/guardian at the time of registration.  If you do not have the necessary documents or further information and assistance is needed, please contact the school counselor, Mrs. Grimsley-Dawkins, via phone, 334-585-3679 ext. 2001, or via email, sgdawkins@henryschools.org. Please bring your child with you to registration.
