Subjects Taught
6th Grade

I currently hold a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education from Judson College (1990), a Masters of Science in Special Education from Troy University Dothan (1997), a Masters (2015) and an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership (2016) from Auburn University. I am also a fellow with the Wiregrass Writing Project (affiliated with Troy University).

I have worked with children most of my life beginning as a teacher in my church's children's department.  Since graduating from Judson College in 1990, I have accumulated 23 years combined experience in public and private school systems in both Alabama and Georgia and my certification has allowed me to work with many children in Kindergarten through eighth grades. I have been proud to be a part of the Henry County School system since 1999, beginning as a collaborative education teacher and moving into a classroom position in the sixth grade in 2001.

I am single and my fur babies and I live in Ozark, Alabama. I am a lifelong resident of the Wiregrass Area and enjoy many outdoor activities including, gardening, camping and fishing. I also enjoy cooking and trying new recipes with the vegetables that I grow in my summer garden and crafting in my spare time.  I am also a novice violinist  preferring bluegrass, Christian, and Irish music. Currently, I am assigned to teach Earth and space science and math.
