Abbeville Elementary School is proud to endorse Fathers Take Your Child to School (FTYCTS), a special day to celebrate and to encourage the involvement of fathers and other significant, positive male caregivers in the lives of their children with a trip to the school.

As a community leader, you are cordially invited to join Fathers Take Your Child to School (FTYCTS) at Abbeville Elementary School. As a positive community male role model, we welcome you to come participate in this activity. Your assistance with daily routine procedures is welcomed with such activities as opening doors for students during morning car rider drop off, assisting students as they get off the bus, opening building entry doors for students, hall monitors, etc. Your presence and support will be a great way for students to see that the school and community leaders are working together.

Abbeville Elementary School has invited fathers and father figures to bring their children to school to jump-start or renew a commitment to participate in their children’s education on Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Positive paternal involvement is associated with improvements in academic performance by earning better grades, scoring higher on tests, fewer absences, better behavior, as well as being more likely to become high school graduates.

We look forward to your support of Fathers Take Your Child to School (FTYCTS) on Tuesday, September 18th. You are invited to eat breakfast in our cafeteria with visiting fathers and father figures, also. The cost for an adult breakfast is $3.00, and the breakfast menu for Tuesday, September 18th is Sausage Biscuit, Juice and Milk.
